Periodic Inspection and Stamping of Measuring Instruments

TO FUEL AND LPG DISTRIBUTION COMPANIES

As known; Inspection procedures of Measurement and Measuring Instruments within the scope of the Law on Measurements and Calibration No. 3516 were carried out by our Provincial Directorates within the framework of the provisions of the "Measurement and Measuring Instruments Inspection Regulation", which came into force after being published in the Official Gazette No. 22000 dated 24 July 1994.

Measuring systems for continuous and dynamic measurement of quantities of liquids other than water (fuel oil and LPG meters), compressed natural gas (CNG) measuring systems, fuel volume scale containers, devices used to measure the air pressure of motor vehicle tires, precise mass measurements, over 5 kg mass measurements, railway freight and cistern wagons, non-automatic weighing instruments with a maximum capacity of over 2000 kg and axle scales for periodic, stock and initial inspection operations with the "Measurement Systems for Liquids Other than Water" published in the Official Gazette No. 30915 dated 11/10/2019. Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) has been authorized as of 1/1/2020 with the "Regulation on Inspection of Certain Measuring and Weighing Instruments", and as of this date (1/1/2020), inspection applications for the mentioned measuring instruments must be made to TSE instead of Provincial Directorates. In this context, applications for the measuring instruments in question will be received by TSE electronically through the Application Portal at https://basvuruportal.tse.org.tr, and inspection fees will be collected from credit card or money transfer during the application.

In accordance with the regulation in question; Filling meters in your fuel filling facilities in our city and filling meters, tanker meters, fuel meters, LPG meters, Adblue meters, compressed natural gas (CNG) measuring systems, fuel volume scale containers stamped with the year 2021 and in stock at the stations of your fuel sales dealers. The application deadline for periodic inspections of devices used to measure air pressure in motor vehicle tires is until the end of business on the last day of February 2023.

For those who do not apply for periodic inspection on time, even if they apply later, the stamp period has expired, and administrative and penal action will be taken in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 3516 due to fraud in using the measuring device. Your distribution company should inform your dealers about applying for periodic inspection; I kindly request your necessary information.
